Heat the cooking oil in saucepan and fry paneer until golden brown.
Fry the sliced onion and tomatoes and grind to paste, grind the garam masala, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander seeds and fry in the remaining cooking oil until golden brown, add tomatoes and onion paste, saffron powder and 2 cups of water and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
Prior to serving, garnish with fresh coriander leaves and garam masala and serve with puri or rice or naan bread.
